It was a beautiful day in the plaza, sunny and warm. There were many people bustling about doing their daily errands, but Zia wasn't one of them. Her father did everything around the house for the most part, so she never had any errands. While growing up she had to make all the meals in the house. Now, however, she had rebelled against such orders and hadn't cooked in quite awhile. Unless she feels like it that is. Her father had come to terms with this and had stopped expecting his meals to be made for him. It was kind of sad actually, but Zia felt as if it had to happen in order to gain the independence that she wanted.
God. If only she had something to do, maybe she wouldn't be so mind numbingly bored. Heh, god. God was something that she had been taught to believe in and trust her entire life, what with her father being the reverend. But as of late, Zia had lost most of her fate. Now she felt almost as if religion was just something that had been taught to keep people in line, as that is how it was for her. Her father would keep her sheltered and make her act a certain way, saying that it was god's way. But if it were god's way, why was she always so unhappy? For 145 years Zia had been unhappy and she was sick of it. It was time to do something for herself and make herself happy.
So, that's what she was currently trying to do as of right now. Maybe get into some trouble or meet some boys or something. Her father had barely let her even talk to boys her entire life, so she had very little experience. A few times throughout the years she'd snuck off and hung out with some boys, and even kissed a few. But to this day she was still a virgin, and had never been in an official relationship. It was kind of embarassing, so she didn't let many people know this.
As she strode through the plaza, she looked around expectantly waiting for something to catch her eye. She needed something to focus her attention on for awhile before she died of boredom. Plus, she didn't really want to keep thinking about these sorts of things.
