Blythe pulled on a white shirt as he left his house in jean with no shoes. He walked out to the beach near his home to watch the waves and just sit on the beach. Blythe didn’t hate water but with the fact that he couldn’t swim he made sure there was always plenty of beach between him and the ocean. The beach near his home was very familiar to him and as he walked down to the beach he found one of his more frequented spots. He sat down in the sand and leaned back on his hands just watching the water lap at the shore. He closed his eyes and leaned his head back smelling the ocean. It was all familiar and brought back memories of his mother and father. He could remember playing with his mother in the shallow water, building multiple sand castles with his father, and even exploring the tide pools. It all held memories of his family his pack and he didn’t want to let them go. They were who he was and he knew their memories would fade with others but he wouldn’t let them fade with him. They were everything he held dear and he wouldn’t remember them as the old woman or the suicide man they’d become. To him they’d always be his parents strong and loving. Blythe sighed and looked back at the water the sun rising behind him and making the water shine. He fisted his hands in the sand and sat up his arms resting on his thighs his knees up slightly. The sand trickled from his fingers as he slowly relaxed his hands and just watched it form two small sand piles. With a bitter smile he got up and brushed the sand from his hands and lightly dusted off his jeans and headed towards the water. At first he didn’t let it even come up to his toes but slowly he moved down till the water rushed over his ankles and soaked the bottom of his jean legs. He kicked at the water as it started to recede frustrated a bit with how the ocean kept moving when his world had stopped. He ran his hands through his hair and turned looking around at the area. Finally he just dropped where he stood and let the water rush over his legs and hands like a little kid just stopped when they didn’t get their way. He closed his eyes and fought the urge to get up as the water rushed over him again the sound of it pounding in his ears.
He didn’t really sulk not over the loss of his family much but he always felt sad. They had been an important part of him and now they were gone. Blythe knew the world around him moved on but his didn’t…he wouldn’t allow it. Blythe finally sat up his whole back wet and only the back of his head wet the rest of his hair dry. He shook his head water flinging everywhere as he just sat there letting high tide end and slowly transfer into low tide. Blythe would’ve probably stayed like that till high tide started again but he heard a noise behind him that roused him from his thoughts and memories. Blythe stood water making his jeans have a water line along the back his hair still slightly damp. He turned his blue gold eyes in the direction of the sound people usually didn't come around this area of the beach to often.

In the last little bit of time, Nix had found herself feeling completely shut in. With everything that was happening with Gabe and the situation, as well as finding out she was carrying pups, it seemed that lately she hadn’t been getting out much. Which was a shame seeing as Nix always loved heading out into the woods running around, or going to the beach just to tan. The young lycan loved the water and she could often be found on the shores either tanning or in the water just relaxing. It was how she always was, roaming around doing something or another between her job. However, the last couple of weeks Nix found herself inside either throwing up or just feeling horrible. Now the young woman wanted to get out and that was what she was doing. Putting on a loss fitting blue sundress and a pair of flats, Nix headed towards her favourite spot by the water.
It was a secluded area that she had yet to find people in. The young woman could find the spot without even trying and that was how she was walking there now. Her mind and focus was on the pups she was carrying. Not too long ago the young woman had found out that it was twins. Given that both her mates are twins, it was inevitable for such a thing to occur. She didn’t mind, finding that now that she was finally decided upon the whole pup thing, she wanted as many as possible to fill her family. With her mother not around, and her father having his own life, Nix wanted to have something to once again bring them together. While walking, the young lycan’s hand found its way to her stomach as she smiled. It would be a nice change in her life as much as she found herself to be quite scared of the whole thing.
Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, Nix found herself close to the water before the scent of another hit her. Stopping for a moment, she sniffled realizing she knew who it was that she was going to encounter down by the water. Blythe was someone she didn’t mind being around despite how stubborn the guy was. Smiling Nix continued on her path, her feet occasionally snapping a branch of two on her way. Once she got out into the open beach area, Nix stopped and raised an eyebrow as she looked at Blythe who was currently in the water looking as if he wanted nothing more than to drown himself there and then. Sighing Nix walked to the shore before sitting herself down in the sand stretching her legs out in front of herself. “You know most people tend to take their clothes off before they jump in the water. Did you forget that love?” she asked him curiously a small smile on her face the tone of her voice teasing.

Blythe watched Phoenix walk down towards him then sit in the sand. He hadn’t seen her in a long while and as he caught her smell, his brow quirked lightly. She was with pups, he wondered who the father was he hadn’t really kept up with gossip or even listened to any snatches of it when he went into the markets. He hadn’t really kept up with anyone after his father had died. With a sigh Blythe got up and walked up a ways. His pity party was over for now and he really didn’t like the water all that much, especially since he didn’t know how to swim. He sat a bit away from Nix and his back to her as he stared back at the ocean. ”Did you forget I can’t even swim?” His voice was neutral not really inviting conversation but for once not turning it down either.
Blythe had liked Nix before his father had died, she’d been a good friend and he’d enjoyed her company. He’d thought of her almost as a little sister at times but with the way he’d stopped talking to people and ignoring them he doubted they’d ever get back to that. He didn’t expect to have any friends again, he’d done this once before when his mom died and he didn’t expect anyone to come back a second time. Things just didn’t feel right anymore and being alone made sense, he wasn’t nor would he ever be able to get over losing the last of his pack. Part of him didn’t want to be, didn’t want to move on from the pain of his parents losses. Simply shutting everyone out and staying as he was, was easier. Even the pain didn’t bother him that much just made him sad and a bit lonely but he didn’t want to move on, his parents couldn’t move on with him.
He sighed and laid back staring up at the sky and doing something he hadn’t done in a while. He was making pictures out of the clouds. He used to do it all the time, just daydream and watch the clouds make up stories for the more interesting cloud shapes. It brought back the better memories with his mother; he closed his eyes for a moment almost hearing her voice whispering by his ears. He looked back at Nix then looked back at the sky his face still unexpressive of the emotions he was feeling. ”You never met my mother did you?” Blythe couldn’t help but talk about her right here surrounded by all the memories and things that they’d done when he was little. He’d be ashamed if he didn’t mention her she had been everything to him and though he doubted Nix would care he was going to at least tell her one thing about his mother. He’d never really talked about her before but this was a different time and place and with his father gone now he didn’t want to be the only one that remembered his mother.

Taking a seat in the sand Nix stretched her feet out in front of her, her hand going down to her stomach to wrap around in a protective manor. The dress she was wearing didn’t show the bump off as a shirt and pants luckily. The young woman didn’t need people treating her like she was fragile because she was carrying two pups. Drake was already fussing over her more then he should but she allowed it because he hadn’t gone overboard with anything just yet. Kicking her flats off, Nix let her toes sink into the sand enjoying the warm feeling for a moment sighing. She had wanted to go swimming for the longest time but it seemed right now wasn’t the best of occasions for that. Leaning back, Nix watched Blythe as he emerged from the water now. She wasn’t too sure what he was trying to do but she hoped it wasn’t what it looked like. The young lycan was more than aware her friend wasn’t able to swim. “I did not, but I was hoping it was a better explanation then jumping to conclusions as to why you’re submerged in the water.” she offered staring him down somewhat. She wanted to know if he really was that upset that he thought it might be best to simply end it all.
Nix had found that over the years, Blythe seemed to try and push her away but being stubborn as she was, Nix did not allow that to happen. Instead, she continued to be his friend no matter what happened. She remembered how he had pushed her away when his father died. The young lycan often wondered if he was still depressed about it. The one thing that they both seemed to have in common right now was their loss of a parent, among other things as well. She did enjoy the man’s company and he seemed to be just as stubborn as her. She remembered how she had been when her mother died, shutting everyone out as well. However, only the people that seemed to be her true friends were still around. Granted no matter what, Nix always felt like most people didn’t care much for her company.
When Blythe lay back in the sand near her, Nix sighed getting up so she was sitting next to him. Looking at the man’s back might be appealing but trying to have a conversation with it wasn’t the most entertaining thing. Getting herself situated once again, the young lycan woman found her hand going to her stomach as she leaned back on the other looking up at the sky for a moment. When she heard her friends question, Nix looked down at him for a moment shaking her head. “Unfortunately no, I bet she was an amazing woman though.” the young woman offered. If needed she would sit there listening to her friend recall stories he had of his mother. That was what she was there for; to be a good friend no matter how hard he tried to push her away. “Could you tell me about her?” she asked curiously wondering if Blythe would be willing to open up now. Before he seemed to dislike talking about his mother.

Blythe didn't look over when she sat next to him. He tugged lightly on the hair on the nape of his neck, as he thought about what to tell her. There were so many things he'd loved about his mother most of those he didn't want to share. In a way Blythe was like a jealous little kid not wanting to share his mother with anyone. He pushed a sigh out between his lips settling on a what he was going to say."She was an amazing woman." He agreed with her taking his time before he spoke about his mother. Talking about her still didn't settle well with him but he knew he should. His father had always tried to get him to talk about it and he had on a few occassions when it had just been the two of them but outside of that, he hadn't talked about her.
If people had though he'd taken the loss of his parents bad then his wolf had been destroyed by it. In a way he had, he didn't really act up to much except where his parents were concerned. If anyone spoke about them in an ill way his wolf started growling and wanting to attack. At times like these though he was just curled up and silent in the corner of Blythe's mind though he was growling lightly at Blythe wanting to talk about his mother. It was like opening up a healing wound with a silver knife and rooting around till he found the most painful spot possible.
He stared up at the sky as he spoke"She used to try and play match maker with me. More than once I'd come home and find out we had a guest for dinner." His voice wavered only slightly his eyes not showing any of the pain that caused his wolf to howl or the slight spark of amusement he got at remembering the dinners with the girls and how awkward and funny it had been. His mother had always meant well and just wanted him to be happy and to quote her she'd wanted to see how cute and adorable her grandchildren would be.
He ran a hand over his face looking tired, he glanced over at Nix to see her expression. It probably didn't mean anything to her but the memories that brought to mind made him ache for his pack again. Ache for his mother's smile and the way his father would laugh and pat him on the shoulder when he got embarassed by what his mother did.

Nix sighed as she crossed one leg over the other as she spread out on the beach again. Usually she would bring one of her legs up to her chest however, she couldn’t really do that now with the baby bump but the young woman was managing as best she could at this moment. Not that she minded really, her thoughts were more on the whole actually having pups thing then they were on how she could sit comfortably. She knew that once she was further along in the process, there would probably be several people who would insist she was to stay in bed instead of roaming around. Then it would be a lot harder for her to get out and away from things. Hearing that Blythe was telling her about his mother was something she didn’t expect. She could see often how it hurt him to not have them both in his life. “Must have been if you’re her son.” she added knowing that often meant their kids were similar to them. When her own mother died, she often found people telling her how much she reminded them of Anne.
Nix knew what it was like to lose a parent and now she was experiencing possibly losing her mate. If this happened she didn’t know if she could survive it. She did still have her father, and her other mate, but it wasn’t the same. She would always want her mother in her life and she would away regret her not being there to see her pups growing up. It was something that Nix had to live with and right now as she got closer and closer to her due date, it was hard to even think about not having her mother there. Having her support and being able to ask her questions as to what was going on with her body, or with the pups. It was hard to think about even now after all these years. Her sister wolf was suffering right now as she thought about that lose not to mention having to be cooped up because of her pregnancy.
Listening to Blythe Nix put a comforting hand on his shoulder squeezing it as she sighed trying to push her own memories out of the picture for now. “All parents are like that. I bet my mother would have done the same had she lived long enough for me to date.” she added trying not to sound too bitter. It hurt not having her mother there during milestones in her life but she was trying to deal with it. “Any interesting prospects?” she added referring to the woman that his mother had set him up with. Nix could tell it was a hard to talk about his mother, but it was better than keeping it all bottled up. “You might find it hard to believe, but we have a lot in common.” she told him nudging her friend playfully for a moment.

Blythe sat up when she put her hand on his shoulder the movement dislodging it. Sand clung all to his back the wet cloths and his hair. He leaned forward an arm resting upon his upraised knees as his other hand went to the back of his head and rubbed the salt from his hair and the back of his neck. He closed his eyes as she spoke about how her mom might have done the same thing. He felt a small pang of guilt for bringing it up, he'd heard about Nix's mothers death who hadn't but that was no reason to bring it up. No one liked being reminded of what they'd lost Blythe and his wolf's quick temper were a perfect example of that. After all you wouldn't remind and orphan that they were parentless.
He heard her bitter tone and looked back at her staring at her a long moment trying to think of something comforting to say or even to apologise for bring forth her own unpleasant memories but nothing came to mind. The lack of comforting words to offer Nix made him pinch the bridge of his nose. When had he become such a jerk. The answer was simple the moment his father died and he had stopped talking to anyone and everyone beyond the murmured excuse me or when he had to talk to a vendor to aquire something.
Oddly enough he felt a bitter smirk rise to his lips when Nix asked if he had had any interesting prospects with his mother's match making. He'd had a few relationships with some of the women his mother had dragged to those match maker dinners but he'd ended most when his mother had died and severed all connection with the remaining with his father's death. He shook his head his shoulders sagging as he felt the weight of loneliness reassert itself on his shoulders. It was never far but when he thought about how empty his life was now....There was no doubting that this broken man was indeed lonely."There might have been...at one point...but not anymore. Your the first female I've reall socialized with beyond poliet responses since my father's death."
The nudge was unexpected as was his response to her words, he'd thought any and all form of humor even the darkest kind had vanished forever. "I don't think we have to much in common Nix after all your royalty and I'm a commoner. You enjoy things I do not anymore. Above all your female." He scrunched his nose sniffing a bit as he stared ahead though there was a slight glimmer of humor that was fighting its way into his starburt colored eyes even though his face and voice remained neutral."Let's not forget your pregnant and I obviously am lacking that baby bump." He looked at her stomach as he said the last.

Nix couldn’t help but roll her eyes when she watched Blythe sit up brushing her hand away. It was a good cover up for not wanting to be touched of comforted however Nix seemed to know the man’s ways a bit better than expected. For some reason, she knew that sitting up had been intentional to get her hand off of him. Nix found it to be silly but she didn’t say anything, she was stubborn too and if that meant having to trail after Blythe till he figured out that he wasn’t going to be losing Nix anytime soon off his trail. Despite how she often annoyed people with her ability to always speak her mind, Nix did care about her friends greatly. Unless someone proved otherwise Nix considered Blythe a friend.
Right now talking about her mother and thinking about the few memories the young woman had of her mother, well it was painful. It really was hard thinking about her and the emotions that came with it. However, Nix knew that it wasn’t something she should be dwelling on at least not right now. Not when things were supposed to be getting better. She was going to have pups and continue on the line, not only that but she was also going to be a mother of her own. Her wolf was already on full attack mod if anyone came near her about the pups. It seemed that the moment she found out about them her wolf kicked into full protective mod, not to mention full parent mod as well. It was odd for the young woman to know that she had a motherly instinct about her. Often times she had wondered if it was possible.
Talking about potential suitors brought back memories of how Nix herself had been set up a few times. It had been for her own good as her father had said to see if there were possible mates. However, Nix wasn’t one to have the need for someone to set her up. No most men presented to her as potential suitors never passed any of Nix’s tests or were simply too dull for her. Might have been why in the end, she ended up with two instead of on mate. Faith had a funny way of working itself out. “Well aren’t I luckily to be getting the attention of Mr. Morgenstern. Problem is I’m not a potential suitor. But I am sure we can find you someone. They might need to be as stubborn as you though.” she added teasingly knowing that it wouldn’t be easy to get through to her fellow lycan.
What came out of her friend next only got the young woman’s eyebrow raised. She had not heard a lick of humor from her friend in a long while, not even sarcastic humor at that. This was a new development and Nix was quite shocked by it. Smiling, the young woman laughed before playfully smacking Blythe upside the head. “You know what I meant by we have a lot in common and that didn’t involve our genders or current physical state. Cute though, finally got you to show a sense of humor, as sarcastic as it might be.” she added before shifting to sit closer to her friend. “Besides when have I taken status into account for anything? I’m still annoying you either way.” she added chuckling before feeling a small kick. Smiling, Nix took Blythe’s hand for a moment. “Speaking of pups, care to feel them kick?” she asked curiously.

Blythe shook his head at her sarcasm about getting his attention. Her next words about finding him a girl as stubborn as he was made him shake his head, he didn’t want another match maker. Blythe didn’t even want a mate and as odd as it sounded neither did his wolf. Especially if their mate was human, there was no way he was going to experience the same thing he’d experienced with his mother again. If he was honest with himself he did want someone in his life but if it was to be anyone he’d want them to be as far from a mate as he could get but still be able to get along with them. The loneliness was starting to get to him but he didn’t want a relationship that could end up turning the last few pieces of his heart to dust.
There were a lot of things holding Blythe back from getting into a relationship and fear of more pain was one of them. Even relationships with friends, talking with Nix as he was now was a big thing and his wolf was grumbling at him about it. His wolf was content to be a loner till he died the loss of his parents had made his wolf bitter. His mother had died because she refused to try to be turned and instead had just wanted to live out her life as she’d felt it had been intended. His father had ended his own life without a word to Blythe just leaving him to clean up the body afterward. After his mother had died Blythe and his wolf had agreed on a few things and after his father…well he and his wolf had agreed to never get involved with anyone and so his wolf had quieted down.
Blythe only shifted on the full moon and only hunted then as well. He went about his business working on his computer and managing the company his father had left in his hands. If Blythe didn’t have to go into town to pick up food every once in a while he’d have become a hermit in truth but his twice weekly trips into town kept him from that. Now with Nix he was being more social than he’d been in years and he was feeling that aching loneliness settling on him and his wolf was upset that he was starting to want companionship again.
When she smacked him upside the head for his own sarcasm he gave her a smile he hadn’t had since his mother was alive. It was both sheepish and mischievous as well as to brief the smile only last for an instant before his face faded back to his neutral expression. Before he’d been able to say a thing she’d grabbed his hands and asked if he’d wanted to feel the pups kick. The doors to his rare show of personality slammed shut as his wolf snarled in his ears. Blythe snatched his hand back and moved away realizing Nix had gotten closer.
It had been a long time since his wolf had done anything more than grumble and growl when people got to close or wanted to talk and Blythe simply wanted to be on his way. The rage he felt coming off his wolf reminded him of why he’d so easily agreed with his wolf. Blythe had been devastated when he’d lost his family his wolf had wanted to tear everything and everyone to pieces and Blythe hadn’t wanted that much blood on his hands nor had he wanted to make more people like him unlike his wolf who wanted everyone to feel his pain. Staying away from anyone and everyone had been a good compromise at least at the time.
Blythe wouldn’t have ever thought Nix would be a mother but seeing her now she wore it well and in all honesty he was truly happy for her. She was a great girl and though he considered her like a younger sister his wolf found the idea abhorrent he wanted to keep his loneliness. When she’d grabbed his hand Blythe had wanted to feel the pups and offer to get her something or make sure she was ok. He had a bit of a soft spot for women with pups but his wolf didn’t. He didn’t want his wolf to come out wasn’t sure he’d be able to handle him if he came out in earnest and he didn’t want to take a chance that he would hurt Nix so he stood and moved closer to the water putting more distance between them as he pulled on his cloak of indifference.”No thank you I’d rather not.” Blythe stayed polite not letting her know what was going on. He didn’t need her meddling in his life.

Nix sighed as she watched Blythe thinking about how he needed someone in his life. He seemed to be pushing people away so much that he was going to be alone forever. However, despite how often he pushed people, he still seemed lonely. At least that was the vibe she was getting from him right now. Not only that but Nix knew what it was like to be alone and crave something more. When she finally left the isle, the young woman thought it would be best to simply enjoy the world alone. However, after sometime, she discovered that doing things alone wasn’t that great. Her journey had luckily taken her to Ireland at the time where she met her future mates. At the time, Nix wasn’t aware that would be whom they were to her. No she had only been helping them out knowing how it was to go through the change. She had help, and it was hard, imagine not knowing what was going on with one’s body. Staying with them for a while, the young woman discovered what it was like to have company. To do things not alone but with someone. Her adventures were that much better with the two men as she helped them adjust to a new life.
As a result, she had come back shortly from her trip back to the isle. Still not really looking for a mate, Nix stumbled upon the two again and things just happened. However, she had been to a point in her life where the young lycan had considered obtaining some kind of help in order to find suitable mates. Nix had vowed when her mother died to never be with anyone. She didn’t want to have to face the pain of losing her mate in the future. The mere thought of it made her wolf howl in loneliness at the time. Now it did too, as well as frustrating thinking that it might actually happen to her now. “We need to find you a mate Blythe, all this loneliness is not healthy. If you don’t start opening up to people, I might make it my mission in life to find you a suitor.” she added hoping a threat like that would at least get him looking around even for a mere moment. She didn’t want her friend to end up all alone and she knew he needed someone now that both his parents and pack were gone. Given how stubborn Nix was, it might not be the best threat not to consider seeing as even if he went psycho wolf on her she’d still continue determined to see her friend happy even if it might be for a mere moment.
It seemed that her little bit of teasing had caused a small smile to appear on the gloomy man’s face. It was a surprise she had been able to even get that little glimpse of emotion from him. Well aside from the depressive face he was constantly wearing. However as soon as the smile came it was gone again causing Nix to sigh for a moment. Her attempt at having Blythe connect with another human for a moment seemed to cause even more of a stir in the older wolf. Watching her friend, she frowned raising an eyebrow curiously at him. Why he was this opposed to being even formally close to someone was quite a mystery. Everyone needed a bit of human contact and the way Blythe was acting was really a shame. She started worrying that the darkness that was losing his parents and being alone would slowly take him over.
Tilting her head, she stayed where she was watching him walk to the water. “Why not? It won’t bite and neither will my stomach.” she assured him even if she knew that wasn’t really the problem of the matter. Some men were squirmy about being near a pregnant woman let alone touching her stomach. Instead, she wrapped her arms around it loosely. “I find this pregnancy to be a way to heal a part of me that’s been void since my mother died. It won’t completely fill the void, but it helps loosen the pain a bit. I merely felt like sharing a bit of that with a friend who seems to need a great deal of healing.” she explained hoping he wouldn’t be furious with her bold attempt. Granted it wasn’t as if Nix would really be too concerned. Once she had her mind set on something it was hard to change it.

"It might not be healthy for you but it suits me just fine." It was for the best he'd lie and do what he had to, to keep things as they were. He'd even be rude to her if she persisted he didn't want things to get out of hand. Everything had been working just fine the way it was. Sure he was a little...maybe more than a little lonely but until Nix had started talking to him today he hadn't paid it much mind. It had been easy getting lost with handling work over the computer and simply putting himself on auto pilot when he went into town.
He'd found a contentment with the monotomy of life especially since he'd made such a clean break with all his attatchments to people. He'd simply stopped talking to them and ignored anyone who'd tried to talk to him. Even with Nix he hadn't talked to her that first month of his father's death and she hadn't reappeared in his life till now. He felt the guilt of that now looking at his pregnant friend. Blythe had had a lot of friends he'd made them pretty easy but he'd also had a real tight knit group of friend. They were the ones who'd stuck around after his mother's death or like Nix had just wormed her way into his little inner circle. He felt bad for so utterly shutting her out of his life and shutting himself out of hers. She was having pups now and he hadn't known till she'd come here and he'd smelt it.
His wolf had his own ideas about what to do with Nix who just wouldn't leave them in peace. He snarled in Blythe's ear at the thought of a mate. Blythe hushed him trying to get some control back over his wolf. He didn't want to live in fear of his wolf. They were apart of each other and yet it hadn't felt like that in a long time. The more his life dragged the more seperated the two halfs felt. This was the most interaction he'd had with his wolf in a while as well. He felt him everyday laying silently in his mind but he didn't stir for anything but the fullmoon and Blythe knew that if it wasn't for the full moon he probably would've been silent forever.
As Blythe looked out at the ocean a good amount of distance once again between him and Nix he felt the wolf quieting down. That is until Nix said her stomach or the pups wouldn't bite, he'd wanted to smirk she was being a smartass but the sharp snap of his wolf stopped the smirk before it even became an action. Blythe stuck his hands in his pockets just listening as Nix kept talking. He sighed when she said she just wanted to share the healing. He shook his head, there wouldn't be healing not from this. Nix still had her father and now two mates and pups on the way. She hadn't lost everything, he may not have known what having a mate was like but he didn't want to find out. Though seeing Nix the way see was with pups, it did waken a part of him that wanted his own.
"Thank you for the sentiment Nix but I don't want to feel pups kick." His wolf snarled in his ear and Blythe hunched his shoulders a bit. "Or talk with you anymore." Yeah he was dismissing her and being a bit of a jerk about it but he knew she wouldn't leave otherwise and she was seriously pissing his wolf off. Blythe did care about her and he didn't want to even chance that his wolf would get lose because if he did he would attack and Blythe didn't want to harm her in anyway not her or her pups. He wouldn't admit it but he bet she was going to have some cute pain in the ass kids just like her.

Nix sighed her fingers gently pulling through her blonde strands. She had kept her hair down and that meant with the breeze coming from the trees and the ocean, the locks were getting tussled about into her face. She wasn’t too happy to hear that Blythe wasn’t interested. Part of her already knew he was going to head in this direction. Being observant as she was at times, Nix was able to read people sometimes. At least that was what she thought of it as. It might simply be intuition. There were times when Nix had this feeling at the pit of her stomach as she knew what it was that someone might be doing or saying before they even said it. Just a small thought that came moments before when she would hear their words in her head or she’d just get a feeling as to what it was the person was going to do. These feelings usually happened at random and she didn’t know how to control it or what it was. It was just a feeling that came to her and Nix often wondered what it was that gave her that. She simply threw it off as coincidence for knowing someone just too well for their own good.
Right before Blythe said anything; Nix already knew what he was going to say. Part of her knew she was going to not only reject her offer to find a mate, because he was too stubborn for his own good, but she also knew he was going to try and get her to leave. Still sitting there in the sand, the young woman continued to keep her blue eyes on the man’s back as he looked out onto the water. The one thing that seemed to agree with them both was the water. Since she could remember, the young woman would find herself on the beach, always dipping into the water or swimming. It was just something she liked doing whether it was alone or with someone. The water, like music, had a calming effect on her.
Right now she was feeling bad for Blythe. On the one hand, not having a mate really was a horrible feeling. Right now both her mates weren’t very present in her life. One had run off somewhere and the other was as it seemed, avoiding her completely for now. She wanted nothing more than to break down and curl up while the world swallowed her whole. However, that wasn’t the kind of person she was. She was stronger than that and the young woman was determined to prove that to everyone. ” It’s not healthy for anyone. Being alone is not a walk in the park either. There’s always a moment when you’ll want to share something either good or bad with someone and you’ll find that your all alone. It’s a shitty feeling trust me I know.” she added feeling like that now. Hell right now she was feeling quite abandoned but she wasn’t going to be telling anyone that.
Hearing his next statement only got the young woman more annoyed. With her mood swings it was quite easy to take a three sixty in that department. “It’s not that easy to get rid of me Blythe, you should know that by now.” she added getting up. Walking over to where he was, the young lycan sighed as she wrapped her arms around his waist from behind giving him a friendly hug. Pressing her head against his back, she sighed staying like that for a moment wanting him to know that no matter how much he tried to push her away she wasn’t that easily swayed. After a moment she pulled back taking a few steps away from him, heading back towards the forest again. “You sure you want me to go?”

There would come a time when he'd want to share somethign with someone and not be able to. He'd had that a couple times in the last twenty-one years. Nix was right but he wouldn't tell her that he couldn't, it would only make her want to stick around and make her want to find him a mate all the more. What would he do with a mate he was sure his wolf would scare her off if he ever met her. The growl he heard in his head was all the assurance he needed. There would be no mate for him not with his wolf the way he was. Not with him the way he was.
He'd let himself get weak, given his wolf to much control like a neglectful parent and now his wolf was to out of control and Blythe didn't know how to fix it. Did he want to fix it? When Nix hugged him from behind he sighed and admitted to himself that he might want to start getting involved in his friends lives again if they'd have him or just Nix's life. He'd missed her every once in a while and now seeing her pregnant it was really getting to him. Being hugged like he was now was truly comforting and he felt a slight burning in his eyes. He hadn't let anyone comfort him over his father's death and Nix hugging him saying he couldn't get rid of her that easily was making him want to talk with her tell her how much it had hurt that his father had killed himself without so much as a word. His wolf snapped sharply and if Nix hadn't moved away he would've forced her away.
He didn't turn as she walked away or asked him if he really wanted her to go. "Congratulations on your pups Nix but please just go." His voice was slightly horse as he stared at the water trying to placate his wolf. She wouldn't stay now he knew that she'd walk away and he was hoping to never see her again. He needed to get back to his solitude, it kept the wolf quiet and everyone safe. It kept him safe, the quieter his wolf the more he could function but when his wolf started to wake up like he was now thigns only got violent. He didn't want to be put down because his wolf wanted to make everyone suffer like he was. He'd need to do something to calm his wolf down he was to riled up now. Blythe had to make sure he put those thoughts of a mate and pups away as well or things would never go back to how he needed them to be. That longing was more dangerous than hope to him and his wolf.
