As the sun was slowly going down in the sky, Nix could be found outside her home laying spread out on the grass. She was wearing a short black dress finding that even if the cooler weather was around she was still warm. It might be the fact that she was a lycan and her initial body heat was always a bit warmer than a regular human, or the woman simply did not mind the weather at all. No matter what the weather, Nix always found herself drawn to the outside. It was one of the reasons she enjoyed having a huge forest at her disposal. Running there whether in her wolf form or human is something Nix always enjoyed and still did even now. Getting lost and losing track of time was blissful and allowed her to not think about the training she was receiving to one day take her father’s place as head of the family. It wasn’t an easy role but Nix had her two mates whom she knew would help and support her the whole way. How she had become fortunate enough to find two loving mates was a wonder even now after being married for such a time.
Crossing one of her bare legs over the other Nix lay on her back in the grass, a worn out book clutched between her slender fingers. Reading was something she did to pass the time and reading outside was always twice as enjoyable. The woman could often find herself lost in a different world enjoying the imaginations of many others. There were times she would read something non fictional such as the family histories or other books related to Lycan’s and their ways. The library within her own home, and that of the public ones that the island provided her with much needed and sought information.
With her lengthy blonde hair fanned out on the grass, the lycan gently moved her foot up and down as if bobbing it to the rhythm of a song. While she read, part of the young woman wondered what her mates were up to. It seemed like it had been such a long time since she had seen either of them.

Running her fingers over the course yellow pages of her book, she continued letting her bright blue eye scan the page as her brain processed what it was she was reading. After being alive for the number of years she had, the young woman found herself reading a great deal always looking for something new. At times she would travel outside the island just to find something more interesting to read. Trips outside the island usually didn’t last long either that or she had someone track down something interesting. Most of the time the young woman preferred to head out herself finding she needed a change of scenery. While she was reading her book, Nix thought about possibly getting off the island for a bit too at least try and see something else. She would have thrown the idea out to her two mates when she finally saw them.
With thoughts of getting away for a bit running through her mind, Nix found herself no longer as focused on her book as she had been before. Now her mind was wander all over the place and she needed to stop pretending before her mind did things automatically. Closing the book, the young woman let her arms drop before setting the book down. It was then that the wind blew bringing with it the scent of one of her mats. It was the distinct smell of a forest, mowed lawn and charcoal, meaning that it could only be Gabe. Drake smelt different from his twin and usually did not have charcoal to his odor. Tilted her head to the side, Nix smiled when her eyes caught site of her mate sitting against a large oak tree not too far from where she was.
Standing up, the young woman quickly crossed the lawn in her bare feet before finding herself at Gabe’s side noticing the sketch pad. Nix loved seeing anything and everything one of the men she loved drew. She always found his work to be amazing and life like. “What has caught your attention today my love?” she asked curiously sitting herself down beside Gabe hoping to get a glimpse of what it was he was drawing. Looping her slender arm through his, the blond leaned her head against his shoulder.

Gabriel quickly flipped his sketch pad to a new page, so she didn't see what he had just been drawing. He just wasn't ready to hear, how much of a lousy father he would be. He felt that people would think just because he fought and drank he wouldn't be a good Da. He smiled over at his mate and wife. "Like every other day you, My Love." He said with love oozing out of his voice. She was his everything, and he couldn't wait for the time in their lives when they did have a child. Though he still wasn't sure how that would work out between him and his brother. Sometimes he still couldn't believe he was not only married, but in a relationship with Nix and Drake. He laid his sketch pad to the side and moved his arm so it was wrapped around Nix's shoulders.
"What have you been doing besides reading today, My Love?" He asked her as he kissed her temple. He leaned back a little so that his back hit the tree and looked up into the evening sky. The sky line from Lobos was so beautiful, it seemed to never change.

While approaching her mate, Nix noticed how he seemed to flip the page on his sketch book before she got there. Being curious by nature, the young woman wondered if there was something he was hiding from her or if he merely did not want her to see the finished product. She knew how he tended to be when it came to showing her a piece of work before it was completely finished. Not that she really cared the woman loved anything he drew because he was genuinely good at it. She merely wondered what it might be that caused him to cover it up. Despite her curiosity, Nix sat beside her mate figuring she could question him about it later. Right now she was merely enjoying being close to her mate. “I am sure after all this time you’ve grown tired of drawing me.” she teased a small smile on her face as she leaned into her mate, a slender arm going across his waist.
For a while now, Nix had been thinking about having kids. She had wanted some most of her life and it showed often with how she was around kids in general. Unless one didn’t know Nix they would not see the smile that appeared on her face whenever she encountered a child on the street from one of the commoners. However, the woman’s problem as to why she didn’t have any yet was due to her having two mates. She loved both men equally but she was worried what would happen if she was to have a child. Would one mate treat the child as their own even if it wasn’t? These thoughts would always weight on her mind and she could not subject any child to think that one parent loved them more than the other. If she could love two people equally she wanted to know that they both could do that the same with a child even if there was a shred of doubt that it might not be theirs. “I had a nice chat with Lady Olivia today. I still don’t understand how her father could be so cruel to Eva and Rafe.” she muttered sighing trying to get her mind off of kids and something else.
When Gabe moved to lean back against the tree, Nix shifted so she was laying her head on his chest for a moment. The young lycan listened to her mate's heart beating. Smiling, the young woman leaned up placing a quick kiss on the man's lips before disentangling herself from his embrace. "How about a run? I haven't had one in a while..." she offered before dashing off across the lawn. "Catch me if you can!" the young lycan called over her shoulder a mischievous grin on her face.

Gabriel smiled. He knew that Nix would be wondering what he had been drawing. He was actually somewhat surprised when she didn't try and grab the sketch pad just to see what it was, indeed. He lightly tapped the end of her nose. "I will never get tired of having you as my beautiful muse." After he said this he lightly kissed her nose. He didn't know why but he was only this way with her, soft and mushy. No other woman in his life had made him feel like this.
At the mention of Kevan his back got a little stiffer. That bastard was man that had changed him into a Lycan in the first place. Not that he wasn't happy to be one now, but when he was changed Kevan left him, not showing him the ways of the Lycan, or explaining what would happen on a full moon. He hated Kevan with a passion, more then almost anybody in the court. "I don't think that Lady Olivia has anything to do with how her father treats people." He reminded her in a gruff voice. Oh he wasn't made at Nix, but the mention of Kevan brought back bad memories that he did not want to relive right now.
He smiled and got to his feet when she took off running, issuing the order 'catch me if you can' in her wake. Gabe tore off the white button down shirt that had already been open for the warm day, and took off after his beautiful bride. "Oh I'll catch you. And when I do, I'm gonna punish you." He yelled to her with desire and lust in his voice.

Usually the young lycan wouldn’t hesitate to do everything she could in order to get the sketch pad he was working on to see the picture. Most of the time a bit of fooling around, some poking and laughing before she was able to dash for the sketch pad and get her hands on it. The woman found the chase of the item that much better when her husband resisted showing her. Most of the time it didn’t seem to be that big of deal when she did see what it was he had been hiding. However, right now, the young woman had other things on her mind. It had been why she kept her thoughts off of that picture he was hiding from her. Being someone that didn’t really hold back when it came to anything, the little move might simply confuse her mate for a bit as she pushed her curiosity to the side. Feeling the gentle tap on her nose Nix laughed and wrinkled it as she made a face. “Good because I might have to rip some throats out if you do find a new muse.” she teased like she always did. For some reason, Nix was certain that her husband wouldn’t find a new muse. He didn’t seem to show any signs of being unhappy and with the woman’s personality being that of a softy at times and that of a fierce lion at others, it made her that much more interesting and spontaneous. There didn’t seem to be a dull moment really when a mate seemed to posses two different personalities.
It might be a reason as to why she is able to handle two mates. One that keeps her grounded and acts as her conscious most of the time, and the other that allows her wild and playful side to emerge often times getting into trouble. After so many years of her temper and tendency to act out on impulse it was a wonder anyone was surprised anymore when the young lycan found herself in trouble. Often it wasn’t anything too serious, just the small things that most people did not approve of such as running through the woods with one of her mates naked. Mentioning Kevan really hadn’t been something she wanted to but it came out seeing as she had spent a good chunk of her day talking about it. It was a wonder her mates even listened to her these days with how much dislike she often showed for the man. Only they and Olivia would see her dislike for the Chancellor, to everyone else, there was nothing but good words spoken about the man. The one thing that not even her mates were aware of was why she had such as deep hatred for the man. Some things were best left a secret. “ I am aware that she doesn’t have much to do with her father’s actions, however my having spent the day with her brought up the topic of her father in my mind. Forgive me love; I know you prefer not to have mention of the man.” she added gently brining her hand up to Gabe’s face to caress his cheek in an apologetic manor.
She knew that there were reasons as to why he hated the man but never had she gotten the sole reason from him. The woman trusted her mate and knew if he wished to speak of it, he would. Instead of continuing on with the topic however, Nix decided that it would be better to simply get her mates mind off of it instead. It was why she suddenly dashed away from the tree had been comfortably seeing at. Having speed on her side, the young woman was able to get a distance from her mate before he even took to his feet. Hearing his voice behind her, she turned her head while still running and noted he no longer wore the unbuttoned shirt from before. This might be a problem for the feisty lycan as she could not take her eyes off her mate. “You can try but I fear you might be disappointed.” she teased making her way into the forest, slowing down a fraction as she weaved in between the trees. For a good few minutes she would make sure her husband did not catch her, but after a while she’d give in out of sheer curiosity to see what it was he would do. “I wonder what kind of punishment you have in mind.” she added looking over her shoulders again another smile appearing.

Gabe laughed as he saw Nix slow down a little when she saw he was shirtless. Works every time. He thought to himself as he picked up his pace to try and catch up with her. He smiled as a thought came to his mind.
The change come over him slowly, like usual. It didn't hurt anymore like it used to, and he could still run which was an added bonus. When his claws grew to the right length, he lapt to the trees. This was something he loved to do in his werewolf form. Jumping from tree to tree he didn't have to dodge trees and it didn't slow him down, like it did Nix.
"You'll have to wait and find out." He said his voice coming out deeper then it usually was. When he got closer to her he jumped down from the tree and landed a few paces behind her, enough where if he reached out a clawed hand he would be able to touch her.
Shifted half way, he had found out made him faster and more agile. Being in a playful mood though he didn't want to end the fun and catch her right then and there. For a werewolf, the chase was half the fun.

There was one thing that both of her mates seemed to know about her was how she could not resist seeing them half naked. It had been the reason she had lost so many of their chases because they weren’t wearing anything. The moment that they had picked up her weakness for not being able to take her eyes off them, it seems that was all they did in order to win the chase. With the young lycan having speed on her side it seemed to be the best way to catch her, a distraction. And boy what a distraction it was for her. Having twin mates that both shared similar genetic makeup made her always wonder how she lucked out. It had been why when she turned to see how close Gabe was to her, the woman slowed down her eyes focuses on how appealing he looked without a shirt. It made her think about giving up the chase so she could run her hands over his amazingly toned body.
Despite her want to simply give in, Nix knew she could not because the whole fun of this was the chase. Being wolves made it so that the chase was usually half the fun as well as what came after that. Running was something they all seemed to like and were good at. Dodging between two trees the young lycan looked back and noticed her husband wasn’t on her tail. At least not on foot it seemed, and this caused her eyes to travel a bit further up as she noticed him in the tree tops instead. Smirking, she quickly stopped and back tracked the way she came before taking a sharp left into a clearing in the middle of the woods. Just as she made it to the clearing, she could hear the soft thud sound as her mate landed a few feet behind her now taking the chase on his feet again. “You know my patient’s level is very low when it comes to you chasing me.” she teased still running heading for the small stream that ran at the end of the clearing. Speeding up, the young lycan took a leap across the stream landing on the other side swiftly.

As Nix broke from the trees he made his move. His clawed hand lightly grabbed her around the waist, so as not to hurt her. He picked her up off her feet and spun her around. "Well I won't make you wait then, my love." He said as he licked the side of her neck. He loved the taste of her skin, and the unique smell of Nix. It's something that he could never get enough of even if he lived to be a thousand years old. "I love you." He growled.
All he wanted to do right now was make love to his beautiful mate. She knew what chasing her always did to him. It made him want to just throw her against the nearest tree and have his way with her.
His dream from last night didn't help matters any, either. All he could do was picture Nix, with her belly round. She would be so beautiful pregnant. And they would be his pups too. She didn't know it but if she ever had pups with Drake, he would love them as if they were his own, because they had come from his Nix. And if he had to admit to himself, Drake would be a better father then he would anyway.

The chase was always something she loved to do; it just made the whole thing more interesting. The chase was never the same and it usually meant that things would be different each time. It might also be what kept their marriage eventful and not dull. That or they really were just that in love that it didn’t matter how dull things were around them because they would not notice anything. Their marriage would not last long if there wasn’t something there. The young woman had dated several men before but none of them had actually kept her attention for too long. She did not find them to be the ones that would be her mates. However, when she met the twins, the woman could not take her eyes off of them. Not just for their looks, the way they held themselves and the way they made her smile no matter what the situation.
It seemed before she could get anywhere else, the man’s hand came around her waist stopping her movements. When she was spun around, Nix laughed her arms going around Gabe’s neck as her legs did the same to his waist. The chase usually ended the same way thought and that was one thing that neither of them would actually complain about no matter how many years it had been. “I’m surprised you were able to wait this long to begin with.” she teased tilting her head back to let him at her neck. She could not get enough of the man’s touch and it usually drove her wild during one of their chases. “I love you too..” she growled back before pulling her mate in for a heated kiss. While she distracted him with a kiss, the woman let her legs drop so she could work on getting his belt off. With as much practice as she’d had, the woman was able to undo it quickly before pulling the accessory out in one motion.
