Lord Frost, I require the assistance of your guard, one Nathaniel Alexander. A problem has arisen in my household and his skills needed. My own guard must not be made aware of this, I fear for my own manhood if she finds out.
Nathaniel is needed within the week, I will wait no longer than that.
Your humble servant and King Vaan Julian Niall
As soon as the ink had dried, the short letter had been placed in an envelope and rushed off the king's desk. Zia Ryves had been playing upon his mind but not in a romantic sense. Something about her, he could not put his finger on, something similar but at the same time he had never seen her before that day in his chapel. He would have the answers to his many questions that swirled through his restless mind. No guard inside these tall palace walls would do for this particular task. Each answered to an under captain who answered to a certain delicious, ice coated captain of his. Dawn would question his reasoning for this search, this search for another woman. It would seem he was straying from her path but this was not so. Something about this young she-wolf had thrown him off-guard, something had caused his brother wolf to react so negatively. Who was she? And why did her scent cause his wolf to pace relentlessly within his mind? He had to know! A soft growl escaped his lips, this was frustrating him terribly. Only time would bring the answers he desperately desired.

Nate found himself very reluctant to be leaving his lord's service even if it was only temporarily. He knew he would be helping the King in some matter and even the thought of helping the King himself wasn't cheering him up. The King needed him he should be excited and bouncing off the walls yet he felt really torn and kind of upset. His wolf was laying in his mind ears drooped and whimpering, he didn’t get why his wolf was so depressed but it was upsetting Nate greatly. It wasn’t like he was getting fired and he had been assured that his lord would be ok while he was away but still…something was off.
Nate soon stood back at the palace his bag in his hand as he headed through the gates. He walked up to the King’s office hoping to find the King there. He had the note in his hand as his reason for being at the palace and in search of the King though he didn’t let anyone read it just showed them the seal. Nate took in a deep breath before he knocked on the King’s door nervous and still confused about what he was feeling over leaving his lord for a bit. He had to focus his King needed him for some task and it was an honor to be requested by the King himself. Nate truly was humbled and honored and yet part of him had been content to just stay at his lord’s side for the rest of his days.
Nate knocked on the door his hand around his small bag of cloths tightening as he waited. He had to focus this was serious. It was time to be the guard he was and focus his Captain had trained him to be better than the mess he was at the moment. Nate closed his eyes for a second collecting himself as he waited.

This had to be done but at what cost? Vaan hated hiding anything from Dawn, this would involve sneaking behind her back, under her nose in order to get the result he wanted. It would still be a betrayal of sorts. This would not be good, he would easily see her blowing up in his face over this, seen what she wanted to see, not what was really there. Vaan was not cheating on, just chasing his curiosity. This was why he went above and beyond, over his faithful captain’s head, straight to Nathaniel Alexander, Arawn Frost’s personal guard.
He was the perfect candidate for this task, he would keep his mouth zipped shut if the situation arose that Dawn became curious which she would. It was asking much for the guard, asking him to leave his lord’s side for an unknown period time, much could happen in that time but Vaan had sent another guard to watch over Lord Frost whilst Nate was in his employ, on this special task of his. His brother wolf had been pacing terribly over the last few days, his guilt was slowly building and building.
He waited and waited, pouring his energy into the papers that littered his desk. Each was as important as the next. Paperwork was the lifeblood of this court, it keep each household and the nobles that resides within up to date with the day to day activities of their King and his courtiers. The sound of oncoming confident foot steps alerted Vaan to the arrival of someone.
“Enter” He called, summoning them into his private domain.
