Normally Julian wasn’t one to interfere in someone else’s business, or so he liked to think that. Granted he had a tendency to always poke his nose where it shouldn’t go or comment on conversations that he had nothing to do with. That was just how he was, always having to have his comment and opinion heard because well it was his way of getting attention. With Rebeckah being a neglecting mother, and this father wanting a weapon and not a son, Julian craved attention wherever he could get it. It might be why he was always finding himself in some kind of trouble. If asked however, Julian believed that he simply was in the wrong place at the wrong time as to why it was he was constantly getting himself into messes. He would open his mouth when not needed and he would go where he wasn’t wanted. Part of the hybrid simply wanted to be noticed, to be seen and that might be why he was how he was. He was arrogant, sarcastic and cocky on a good day. Not to mention mean and hateful as well as annoying on the rest.
This was why when he had seen Leonard going after Selena; he couldn’t help himself wanting to get in the middle. This was clearly none of his business, but a woman in distress was not someone that could really be avoided. At least not for Julian Holt, and not even when the woman looked as if she could hold her own. It was just how he was and one of the reasons why he only had a select handful of friends who could put up with his antics. Not everyone was able to come in the middle of the night to bail him out of jail after having started a bar fight with an Italian man after hitting on his woman. Julian was often hard to handle and not many people wanted to have anything to do with him. Right now his goal had been to get his jacket back and try to convince the young dancer to give in to his charm. However, the hot headed lycan was currently interfering with that plan.
Standing there still determined to get his jacket back, Julian made a face the moment the man’s wet dog smell hit him. He wasn’t used to it yet. Heck the whole lycan thing was new to him seeing as his mother hadn’t taught him too much on the subject. He wasn’t too in tune with his wolf right now finding him to be none existent. The smell alone would put anyone off being a lycan and with Julian having been born and raised in the vampire community; it wouldn’t be a surprise if his scent was more dominant towards his father’s species. Hearing Leonard’s speech he merely chuckled nodding his head as if he understood that this was his time to leave. Rubbing his chin, he laughed again before holding his hands up in a defensive manor. “Alright fair enough, I only wanted my jacket.” he explained watching as Leonard nodded his guard slipping as he accepted Julian’s jacket comment.
Before anything else could really be said, Julian made to leave before quickly turning back his left fist flying forward hitting the lycan square in the jaw. His anger was fueling his animal side causing his fangs to pop out as he growled in warning at the lycan. He hadn’t wanted to let his origins be known right away when he came to the island; however it seemed that they had a mind of their own and the current situation was making it impossible for him to hide it. Instantly, he grabbed hold of Leonard’s hand, twisting his fingers back threatening to break them if his grip didn’t loosen. The moment it did, Julian let go returning to his stance with his arms crosses glaring at the lycan. “I warned you… buddy.” he added his voice getting more sarcastic as he added the last word.
