The other day I was struck with a rather evil plot twist but before I explain what it is, I will need the assistance of various players. Especially Henry Niall, Richard Niall, Rachel Niall, Elina Cali and Dawn Roseburn. However this plot will be open to any other characters as well. The Evil side of King Vaan

This sounds ominous.... >.> And might I add that I'm a tad bit frightened that you put Henry's name first. o.o
As long as whatever it is fits within the plots I already have established for Henry, I'm in. ;D

Heck if I can fit Casey into the mix then she's in. And if I can finish the Chancellor before all the evilness occurs, then I'll throw him in too.

I just want to know if I should be worried for Elina? Other than that.. I'm agreeing with Tara. As long as it doesn't mess with the current Henry/Elina plot, I'm happy to join in lol.

I did promise that I would reveal my plot idea and so I shall. It starts with the return of Rebeckah who has been been kept informed of the happenings within the court but who well that will be discovered later. ~insert evil laugh here~
Her plan simple either get back what once was hers, her mate, crown and son's love or destroy everything in her path. Vaan will reject her private, hours later he is taken ill. She then approaches her son and the same occurs.
Rebeckah will then meet the whore's son Richard and speak harshly of his mother then leave. In her purse three small vials with a skull and cross bones on each. The effects of the mysterious substance will cause the affected to see illusions. Vaan will see the Lady Jane, what the others see is up to them and who finds each one of them is up to the others involved.
Before Rebeckah leaves she speak to one of the females and then disappear in the night once again. Her lover will be waiting on the horizon with a terrible smirk spread across his lips but this is will not be the last we see of the pair.

Just getting this worked out in my head... and we were discussing what would happen should Vaan die of the poison. We've established that should a King or Queen die before their term is up, succession comes into play for the duration of that term. Now, that means that if Vaan dies, Henry would be King. (Henry just cringed in my head... just fyi) So, here are my questions... what would all of the effects of the poison be besides hallucinations? How long would it last? What happens if Vaan doesn't die and just goes into a coma? Also, if Henry is forced into taking the throne, he wouldn't like it, but he'd do it. There's one reason he would. Keven. Henry doesn't want the throne, but he'd do anything to keep the Chancellor out of it. Ideas sprang up in my head too about a massive confrontation between Henry and Keven once Keven realizes that Henry is King, cause Henry will literally do his best to kill him. I was sort of itching for a confrontation between those two anyway. Oh, and just another idle "scene" that popped into my head. The poison causes hallucinations, so I can see Vaan hallucinating something bad and accidentally attacking Dawn or something as she tries to care for him. Then Dawn, all bloodied up, goes to Elina as she's caring for Henry and tells her to be careful. *starts thinking about what Henry would see*

So, here are my questions... what would all of the effects of the poison be besides hallucinations? How long would it last? What happens if Vaan doesn't die and just goes into a coma? Well beside the hallucinations, there will be headache, dizziness, delirium and anemia (tiredness, weakness). It will last for between eight to ten hours. Sleep is not advised until the hallucinations stop which will be after the fifth hour. If Vaan just goes into a coma, the throne will be empty and vulnerable so Henry will have to King in his place until he awakes. This is all possible and I welcome it

The question is... who takes the throne when Henry grows ill? I believe that would be Richard since he would become prince if Henry was to be the king. Effectively making him the heir apparent

Oh now I just gotta finish up Kevan now. He says bring it on Henry! Bring it on!
oh I have an idea though. Kinda half baked. Not sure if we can do it or not. But its an idea all the same. Here how it goes...an NPC person who lives at the palace is buddies with Casey. Been trying to get her out her shell so to speak. There not tell each other all our secrets kinda friends but they don't hate each other if that makes sense. Anyways this person (i'll figure out a name soon enough) wants to have a nice friendly dinner together with her and invites her over. She's like all right, what could happen. Maybe on the way there, she bumps into the person who poisoned Vaan and either gets some of it on her by accident, or the person drops a vial and Casey picks it up or handles it. I dunno how that would go. What I'm getting at is an encounter with the person who actually did and then when their trying to figure out who did it, the suspicions turn to Casey...even though she had nothing to do with it. Kinda that thing...
Yeah rambling...its what I'm good at lol ...

I thought I'd throw what Hayley and I were talking about on the Cbox on here so I don't forget. haha
If Vaan was to attack Dawn while he was hallucinating it would depend on how much damage he did if her loyalty to him would keep her by his side or not. Say if he attacked her enough to leave a scar somewhere on her (neck, back, etc) then she would just get up and leave since she might not realize he was hallucinating.

hello hello ^^ sorry to just barge in and trample on stuffs but Rebeckah would like to offer her own ideas on the matter of poisoning the king.
It's completely in her nature to do it, because let's face it, that sort of mayhem would just be too delicious to pass up; it would test the boundaries and stabilities of the pack in a very wolfish way, and would please her to no end to watch the result. It would also be a way to test both of her sons, which she's been itching to do for a while. (side note: Beckah is minded to start dropping hints about Julian becoming King simply to see everyone's reactions; as I said to Lexa, feel free to mock her o.o) This would prove to be a perfect opportunity to test Henry's and Julian's mettle in the face of adversity, and it's just enough of mischief to get her shits and giggles in while she does it.
As the matter for vengeance, she really isn't vengeance oriented, which is strange considering all the hub-bub surrounding her and such. However, to face the facts straight on, she doesn't actually care about getting Vaan back in the way of mates or lovers or whathaveyou. She just knows that he stills holds a small part of her memory with him, and she's very jealous of it, protecting it in a wolf-like way to make sure he'll never forget her, even after marriage. It doesn't necessarily mean she wants to be in that god-awful position again (in Beckah's words: ugh) but it does mean that while she will quite thoroughly enjoy messing around with the pack equilibrium, and emotional stability of certain people, her goal isn't to kill anyone --- yet. As for the "whore's son" unfortunately he's pretty much a nonentity to Beckah. He was conceived and birthed in her absence and I don't think she could come up with enough interest to speak more than a handful of words to him. She would see him as a tool ---
so perhaps instead of just the king and the heir apparent, she would alienate Henry by poisoning the king and Richard, leaving Henry to do something useful-ish, and pushing forward Julian just to see how the sparks would fly.
The poison that you're describing would be perfect for her personality, so I think that's good. Something to dehabilitate, possibly something that's addictive as well (Beckah has had her fair share of drug abuse in her wandering so her knowledge of these things wouldn't be farfetched at all) just for lingering aftermath. I was momentarily worried that it would be fatal, but if it's not a fatal poison, that would be preferable (not for moral reasons, but simply put, if she wanted to kill someone as high up as the king she would do it quietly, and without all this chaos that's going to ensue).
I kinda didn't say much. Gomen >///<
