Personality:
* BRATTY - Devon is, without remorse or excuse, a brat. She has a quick temper and it often comes into play when she doesn't get her way.
* PLAYFUL - She knows when to be serious, but she prefers to keep things on the lighter side of life.
* FLIRTATIOUS - Devon is the epitome of a flirt. She flirts with anyone that will flirt back, male or female, married or unmarried. She means nothing by it, she's just a shameless flirt.
* ARROGANT - Devon comes from a long bloodline of humans with good breeding, traceable all the way back to the days of King Arthur. And she often lets the element of such from her past life go to her head.
* ELEGANT - Everything Devon does is done with purpose and sophistication. She moves with the grace of a cat, a skill gained over years and years of practice.
* INSECURE - Despite her brashness and flirtations, Devon is, deep inside, very insecure. She was very sheltered by her family until she went to court. Since then, she has adapted to life, but she will sometimes show the innocent, insecure, unsure side of her.

[x] not being in control - Devon has always been kind of the run of the household. Her mother was an absent parent and, as the baby and the only daughter, her father never denied her anything. She got used to it.

[x] her intelligence. Devon has always been very book smart, as she as given a very cultured enviornment in her childhood.

[x] she's a good actress. Being raised in a court preperation enviornment, Devon has learned how to lie without increasing her pulse or batting an eyelash
[x] she learns quickly. Although this is an advantage of her intelligence, she loves to learn, and throws her heart into learning new things.
[x] she's good at reading people. Another advantage of growing up around court, Devon has learned to be quiet and observe. this has given her the ability to understand people's emotions simply by their posture or the way they carry themselves.

[x] her arrogance. Devon comes from good breeding and she knows it. Her lineage still means a lot to her.
[x] she has a very blunt tongue. Devon has a bit of a rebel in her, and her tongue can often get away from her, coming out as very brash and rude.
[x] she flirts far too often. She flirts with anyone and everyone, regardless of sex or availability. of course, this leaves her with plenty of enemies.
[x] she has a rather quick temper. Devon has a short fuse and is easy to set off.
[x] she is overly confident. Devon has a very fragile ego, and prides herself on being the 'ultimate predator' when it comes to seduction, despite her own innocence.

History:
Devon was born into high society. Her father, Alexandre Gray is part of one of the longest bloodlines in France. Her mother, Athena-Helene Gray (nee Baptiste) however, is from a family notorious for their bad bloodlines, but is considered to be one of the most beautiful women in France. Born with natural good looks and given the best a girl could have, the young woman was expected for great things from the moment she entered the world.

Devon was born the fourth child of the bloodline in the cold of the French autumn. She was beautiful, even as a baby. From the beginning she was given all she could have. Private tutors graced her home every day to teach her Latin, English, German, Piano, Violin, and Cello, as well as a personal governess that attended to her every whim. She proved to be extremely intelligent, even from a young age, learning very quickly and at a more advanced level than most of the men her age.

She and her brothers were always very close, more so to Etienne than the other two. He was like a second father to her, and often was her protector in every since of the word. She often ran with them when she was young and did everything they did, including wrestling, racing, fighting, and gaining her fair share of scars before her parents could do anything about it.

As soon as she was old enough, her older brothers taught to ride a horse. Proving that she had a talent for it, she was given her first horse at age six. She often went on the hunts with her father and more often than not, did better than he did. Of course, when others came, she would stay in a riding habit or a full skirted dress. However, she did hate every minute of it.

When she turned eleven, Devon's father made the decision to be turned into a Lycan. He did not force his decision upon the rest of his family, however, but it did open up new worlds of socializing with a pack of French werewolves. There, an older, very wealthy Lycan Imilee d’Anjou found the young girl enchanting. She took Devon under her wing with little dispute from her family. She cultured the young woman, taught her the ways of being a lady and how to carry herself with poise and grace that attracted attention. Imilee found her a rather pleasant companion and often took Devon with her everywhere, more so than anyone else. The young lady seemed to have a knack for charming people to get what she wanted, and in this case what she wanted was a place in society.

Despite that Devon was moving herself up through society; Etienne was the prodigy child of her family. He was constantly put out to be seen and shown off, paraded around in front of all the single women with any money for hopes of a marriage proposal from the girl’s family. Of course, Devon had no desire to marry off, so if she was asked to parade around, she would often act dull-witted and lifeless so men would leave her be. It worked for a while, until Etienne became betrothed.

Then, her family pushed harder for Devon to marry, despite the fact that she always pushed back. Her mother constantly told her it was an embarrassment on Devon that her brother would be married before she. But that didn’t bother Devon. While she had high dreams of her future, marriage was not one of those dreams.

When she turned sixteen, she was approached by the Louis d’Anjou, the husband of her mentor, and was asked to be turned into a Lycan herself and become his mistress. Even though it had already been arranged with her mother with the intentions of furthering themselves, Devon balked at the idea. She immediately, and publicly, called him down and informed her family that she never intended to become a lycan as well, staying far away from the pack. From that moment on, her parents pushed her to the back and began furthering Devon’s little cousin, Emilee into the world of the court, which was perfectly fine with Devon. She enjoyed her new found freedom to the fullest extent.

That was until her father was offered a position as an ambassador to the court in the Islands off of the American Florida Keys. Devon jumped on the opportunity to be away from the place she now hated. So the whole family packed up and moved, where they have been since.
